Experience
working with the lubolds
Before we became wedding photographers, we were a bride + groom ourselves.
We were engaged for 1,133 days. That's over three years. Why?
'Cause we wanted to get married on the fifth anniversary of our first kiss.
Our son Sam came seven months later (four months early - small but mighty),
teaching us why photos and memories matter.
He fills us with so much happiness and pride. Straight up joy.
We want to capture that joy for you. Make your world full of light and love and freeze those memories for you to look back on as you grow old together with the ones you love.

FAQ
01. How do we book you for the wedding?
Once you have a date set, we can move forward with booking. To reserve your day, we require a signed contract and retainer. Shoot us a message to get started!

02. Do you travel for destination weddings?

Yes. Most of our travel is between Massachusetts, Rhode Island and the rest of New England (shout out to New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont and Connecticut!). However, we love new adventures and would be happy to join you anywhere on the map to document your special day. HOLP has photographed in NYC, Philadelphia, Mexico and Portugal, and hope to expand that destination list so send us a message.

03. How long will it take to receive my images?

05. What is your style?

All of our clients receive their images through an online gallery for easy viewing, sharing with family and friends and downloading. Portrait sessions take about 3 weeks to be processed and weddings can take up to 8 to 12 weeks, and often longer during busy season. We pour our love and energy into every photo. It’s worth the wait!
Our style is rooted in "moments" based photojournalism and heavily influenced by fine art photography, capturing natural, organic moments as they happen. Our imagery is fun, clean, bright, timeless, luxurious and emotionally captivating. It's not always the big picture that takes a lot of planning and time to execute that will be your favorite. It's usually a number of the smaller, less pivotal moments that tell the story that will speak to you on a deeper level. (Mike is the king of the candid moment — it may have something to do with his ninja-like qualities.)

04. Do you offer engagement sessions?

06. what else would be helpful to know?

Engagements sessions are more than just an opportunity to get photos to use on stationery or to display at your wedding. We use them as a couple of hours to hang out, get to know each other, observe you together and get you out of your comfort zone. We want to get you warmed up and ready for your wedding day so we don't take up too much of your day with photos and let you get to your party quicker.
Mike is always in a suit. Shanna is always in a dress or in equally fabulous attire. We want to blend in with your guests as much as possible and become a part of the background. We keep our gear on us, and avoid any bulky, attention getting equipment. We enjoy hors d'oeuvres and base our favorite venues on their quality of finger foods. And cake. We really love cake (and donuts.) A Shirley Temple is a treat for Shanna and Mike likes to laugh at her dance moves while taking photos.
